my s2k whooped ass.
the m won on a drag race though
the 00s were the s52 engines, 240hp, ~230lb ft at the crank
the s2k and the M here are very similar and a good comparison

had it been an s54, 315hp, ~250lb ft at the crank
no chance . . .

btw, someone still not realize that s2k type R thing was all a joke? if u read at the bottom of the article it was written by some guy who was just kidding . . .

The S2000 R is false. There is not really an S2000 R being made.

Look at the M3 engine, that's a real engine, and not just a dream.

The only way the S2000 would beat a M-roadster is if you hooked a trailer to the back of the M-roadster.

honda originally planned on the S2000 to be a limited production model run until 2005. however, word is that they'll continue production coz the S2000 has been selling well above 5000 a year in the US, which was supposed to be the maximum number of S2000's shipped to the US yearly. if you can figure out how that worked, let me know. even an S2200 coupe version is supposed to be released.

Of course the M Roadster is much better- but much more expensive as well

I don't even see this as a good comparison. A Honda 4-banger against a V-8 BMW, this isn't even close.

Beemer all the way.

My fault, I came by it honestly: the BMW has V-8 like power. Forgive me boys. Its still better.

a 9000 rpm redline does help. The s2000 will run 14.4 in the quarter and the beamer for the coupe about mid 13's and fourteens. It isn't fair though put a supercharger and gain 90 horses and add a clutch to the s2000 and the the v6 doesn't matter at all. It's all about weight then and add nitrous to both cars to make it fairer. The s2000 will run to 9000 dropping the cluch at 6000rpm blowing the m3 off the road much like the M3 would blow it's rear end all over the track. That car can't handle that much power and would blow up without internal work to the engine. That is where the 9000 rpm comes in on the s2000 comes into play it's designed for one thing and that's to be a roadster.
