Check out that page it shows how to remove and rebuild the switch. Alot cheaper than having to replace it.
I pulled it apart and reinstalled it. I now have clicking at my silinold. I still think its the starter or silinold. Even though it tested good.

Oh well, work on it again tomorrow........

o.k. progress maybe
i replaced starter and when i turn on key the starter clicks but then i loose everything lights dorr beep and so on so i have to disconnect battery give it a second then reconnect and then i get lights beep and so on until i turn key to start again and i loose it all over

ok finally got it and don't laugh
it was a bad ground cable from the batt to the body as soon as i fixed it it started like a champ

Glad to hear it's back up and running. When you posted that now you could hear the starter clicking next thing I was gonna suggest is checking cables. Only thing that's needed for repayment around here is just continuing to help out others when they have problems you think you know how to fix.

If anyone is interested i have a 1994 jeep cherokee for sale, over 17k invested. DTS, Lifted, new transfer case, trans, 80k on engine. asking price 7000.

This was quite the problem.

So what had to be replaced was, a new battery as the internal plates in the battery were shorted, the alternator was fried as well as the main wire feeding the PDC under the hood, a few fuses. A rebuild of the NSS and then a head gasket replacement.
