Re: Programming Keyless Entry Fob
The one I was using in the back says:
1L2T-15K601-AA FCC ID: CWTWB1U322 CAN: 1788 102 354 The one I bought: 2L2T-15K601-BA FCC ID: CWTWB1U331 CAN: 1788 104 575 I did exactly as you said, nothing happened. |

Re: Programming Keyless Entry Fob
A couple of sites I looked at imply that those two remotes are no necessarily compatible. I'm not sure if/why that would prevent you from being able to program the original one that used to work.
Have you tried programming each one separately to see if they both work individually? Go through the process but only program the remote that you know used to work. If that works fine, then go through the process for the "new" remote and see if it works. If the original will program and work, but the new one will not, then you probably can decide the new one is not compatible and reprogram just the original again. FWIW, it appears the first digits of the Ford part number are most significant. I checked three remotes I have sitting around here and the first 4 digits are the only ones that are different. 1998 Taurus SHO -> 2S4T-15K601-AA 2000 Mountaineer -> F8DB... 2002 Lincoln LS -> 2S4T... -Rod |
