Yo, I am 17 with an 89 max with 150,000 on my car, and my max just got a new tranny, But mine is 5 speed so i can't help much.

hey.. figured I would ask a question in this thread.. I just got a 2001 Maxima GLE.. Of course, its an automatic.. Anyhow.. The transmission seems to shift rough.. is this just normal for this car? It doesn't shift rough all the time, just at times..

First of all, I know you are new, but we try to keep old threads dead. We would all appreciate it if you would help us do that. NOt trying to be a dick, its just a general rule at AF.
A rough-shifting automatice transmission is pretty common in Maxima's, especially the 4-speed auto. Shouldn't be anything to worry about. When it starts clunking or stuttering, you need to worry about it. |
