WHAT MOTOR WOULD BE THE BEST! I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A B16 BUT I HAVENT FOUND ONE UNDER 1,000. IF YOU HAVE ANY SITES THAT I COULD GO LOOK AT THAT SELLS THOSE KIND OF MOTOR FOR A PRETTY GOOD DEAL, I'D LIKE TO HAVE IT. WHAT I MEAN BY AFTERMARKET TRANNY IS THAT WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM THIS GUY HE DIDNT HAVE THE STOCK TRANSMISSION IN IT, HE BOUGHT A NEW ONE AND ITS LIKE 3 YEARS OLD NOW, IT STILL HAS THE SAME GEAR RATIOS AND STUFF, I THINK, BUT ITS A LIL POWERFUL THAN THE STOCK ONE.

Your not gonna find a COMPLETE b16 motor for under 1000 unless your lucky. They usually run around 1100-1400 depends where u get it from. Another thing about your tranny that it is not aftermarket if it doesn't have aftermarket parts. Not a big deal anyways but like someone mentioned that u might have an si tranny which is good.

welcome to the club man, i recently got my b16 from www.hmotorsonline.com for everything i need to swap into my CRX so im sure you can get yours there too, after shipping it came out to 1500 but, im spending alot of money building the engine as well, so it'll prolly cost me around 2500 altogether for my swap.

but you can just get the engine and drop it in over the weekend.

good luck, and have fun.

I am a friend of CRXfanatic_88. The car definately seems to have more than 62 hp. Something can't be right. Its very akward. It actually suprised me with its power. Anyways ..so, FourthGenHatch, whats your car run in the 1/4, and how much HP do you think it is around.? If you have a timeslip Id like to know the 60', 1/8, 1/4. Is it pretty fast?

well maybe its an si motor? The tranny can make the car seems faster cause of shorter gears.
