I went to Best BUy today and there was not any paper named decal paper, but there were about 20 diff kinds of Photograph paper, what kind do i use?

Are you serious? Did any say Sticker paper?
Also some said they were to make 1:1 car stickers! I'm suprised you didn't find any at all.

There have been a few posts of links to actual decal paper. Try those. I seriously doubt that Best Buy would have a decal paper - they are a basic shop at best, and this is a pretty specialised product. There are a few manufacturers that make good decal paper. This will be a trial and error thing. You'll need to fiddle about a bit, see what you can find. Also, if you're using an inkjet, make sure you seal the decal before dipping it, as said before. Microscale (same guys who do Decal Sol and Decal Set) do a product for this very purpose, so I would invest in some of that. Decalpaper.com look pretty good, and do some instructions with how to print your decals too. I see their paper is $22.95/20 sheets, so not major if you fluff a couple to start with. You'd do well though to plan a whole page that you'll want to print once you've got the process organized, so you won't waste too much material. Good luck! |
