It was -10 when I woke up yesterday morning. Last week it was -2 with a -20 degree windchill. And here's the great part, I refuse to take the bus to campus, so I have to walk a mile there in the sub-zero temperatures.

all temperatures in farenheit.

It's been an EXTREMELY mild winter for us here... The ski areas can barely get enough snow to stay open. It's snowed ONE day here, about 4-5 inches, and by the end of the next day, it was all completely melted.

This is really really really going to suck when the summer rolls around, because we just aren't going to have a decent runoff, and it'll be drought conditions for us, and much of the west coast... It's looking like California is going to be snagging electricity from us again, so UP goes the utility bills again.

Does anyone else get the eerie feeling that there's a global climactic change occurring?

Considering how far north I live, its surprising we just got our first major snow storm of the winter yesterday. About 12cm fell. Today the temps went back down tho. It got down to -37 degrees Celcius (w/wind chill)

Nope I always fight the issue of the "Greenhouse Effect" (assuming that was what you might have been thinking). Atmospheric CO2 levels have risen and fallen for thousands and thousands of years, and oscillating temperature ranges, like we are experiencing right now, are also not unusual. What we are seeing is normal, IMO. Not until we start seeing either serious glacial growth and advancement, or significant rises in global sea levels, will I believe otherwise. And you need several years of sustained year-round temperatures, either well above or below normal, to bring about significant changes to global ice cover or sea levels.

We're still cool :sun:
