I have an APC blue metal oil cap, but I jacked it from a booth at a car show on accident. I didn't pay for it. I had it my hand, got distracted by a car, and walked away with it. Then I said "Oh well." and put it in my bag. Haha.

Not to defend APC or anything, but unless you have PERSONALLY experienced or owned a product from them that failed or broke on you, how exactly can anyone else that has posted in this thread justify calling APC stuff crap? So if ricers use APC, and that makes it crap, then are carbon fiber hoods crap as well, since APC makes CF hoods, and ricers put APC stuff on their cars? I didn't think so, better think before you speak people, pppfff

I think the majority of the people posting in this forum has either had APC on their cars or personally knows someone that's used it and hated it for one reason or another.

Majority, but NOT all.

I would like to see all that have posted in here tell why they don't like APC. And not because "oh, Pep Boys sells it, so it must suck!" Pep Boys sells motor oil, does that suck too? Again, people just don't think when they say stuff, not you personally, but just others in general.

I have apc clear corners on my civic and they leak! I have apc clear tails for my civic and they leaked and the reflector for the trunk didn't fit right at all! I tried a apc header and it was the biggest POS! I have also used some apc bulbs (red and amber) and they faded in 2 weeks. So I feel that I am justified in calling apc crap!

Fair enough, totally justifiable there. I had gotten some of those APC Xenon 1157 type bulbs, and returned them ASAP because they lit up kinda greenish, and NOT hyperwhite like they were supposed to be. I want to try ti "Titanium" xenons they make, but I'm afraid to now, LOL. I'll stick with my Polarg M-14's I have. As for you're tails you got, I think that's something that's inherent to most aftermarket tails, but i have heard more complaints about the APC ones than any others. Headers, I'd ONLY go with a reputable company for that, since APC isn't generally performance oriented, as say a company like A'PEXi or DC Sports.

The only reason I tried the apc header is b/c I had a Ractive header and it was awful, then had a airmass and it was awful. The guy who owned the shop let me return them and said try this one , he had it in stock, so I said why not everything so far has been crap, it has to get better. Anyway I ended up withy the DC Sports, even thogh it wasn't the 4-1 like I wanted, but I learned a valuable lesson over the whole deal. I can say that switching to the dc I noticed hardly any improvement in hp, but quality mad up for it 2 times over.

It's a live and learn thing with some parts unfortunately. Through trial and error, we find out which things are good, and which just fall apart after no time at all. But glad to hear you got it sorted out with a good quality header.
