in the top right corner of your screen, below the advertisement if there is one, there should be a link that says "profile". Click on that and then click on the "Edit options tab" Which should be directly under this text

" Automotive Forums .com > User Control Panel For Melt > Edit Options "

Anyways, then scroll all the way down to "other options" and click the Change avatar button, then on that page you select yes that you wish to use an avatar, and you can either remote link the pic from another source, or you can upload the picture from the hard drive of your computer.

Im glad you liked my sig idea.

Yeh but that don't mean its safe to do so. Its just a good way to blow up your motor.

Kris is right about losing power at 10 grand. Thats why u need some fat cams to keep the power band up.

Thumbs down

If the cams get too fat the valves are open all the damn time and overlap each other so much I would think you would REALLY start losing potential power...to me revving a motor like ours to 10K is like maxing out the duty cycle on a fuel injector..it was never designed to do that so why

I am no expert, but just thinking about the mechanics of it is that it is just not right for a regular street driven production engine.

DOHC ZC, I,H,E, urethane bushings and mount inserts, rock chipped hood, some rust, stock steelies, nice comfy Integra seats, and the A/C works! What else could you want from an 18 year old car with 241,000 miles? Working on getting the Si tranny in now

I used to wrench on a Formula Atlantic. 1600 Cosworth 9-10 grand motor. Friggin' hand granade. Absolutely useless as a street engine.

Total waste of money doing that to a 4G. If you want to go fast there's a lot better ways in a car (smaller car/more power).

Of course your local parts supplier/engine builder will love you.

I wasn't being serious about that. I have a 92 civic Si with a B16, has Integra Type-R cams, ecu with no rev limiter. It is scary somtimes when I get on it. The highest it will go before it stops pulling is 8 3/4-9000.
That is what it reads on the clock, but my APEXi SAFC reads 8000-8 1/2.
I belive the AFC is more accurate.

...that sounds familiar, lol...10,000+rpms on my internally stock B16A (not intentionally, of course ). i love my msd sci-l ignition w/ rev control. i've got the stock redline/fuel cutoff at 8200 & I can still use the Mugen chipped ECU. My current b16 has thanked me for the msd many times....damn grinding y1
