Therapeutic purposes. I build to relax. And you may have guessed that I don't use photoetched parts to aid in this.

With models I have a creative outlet-I'm artistic, I love to paint and detail and build things (doesn't have to be models or cars, either). I can build a concept of a car I'd like to see and drive in real life. I prefer working in 3D than on paper. And I can build models of cars I couldn't ever imagine owning in real life. Heck, I've built models of cars I'd never be caught dead in! Sometimes weird cars make cool models. It's also a stress reliever, though sometimes stressful in it's own way because of challenges in construction or detailing.

And just like most other builders I'm an attention whore...I love showing off my models as much as I love seeing other people's latest models, keeps me inspired for my own building and vice-versa.
Ditto; need I say more?

Oh ok. Well, the body does look like the street car before you drill holes in the trunk lid for, what I assume to be, fuel filler holes. Of course it has a racing interior.

The really cool thing on it...the meathod Fujimi uses to attach the wheels almost perfectly replicates the way a real car's wheels go on. You put the hubs together and when you get done they look like they have the threaded screws you would put lug nuts on to hold on the wheel. Eccept that they don't go all the way through the wheel, which is good since the race car wheels arn't held on that way.

I had always loved art and engineering since young. Modelling is one way that i like to express my artistic nature, and also a bit of engineering. But i don't want to go into full scale engineering cause it is very complicated and i HATE calculations.
The other way is dance, i play gymnastics and am aspiring to become a qualified gymnastics coach, and also to be qualified in the sports medicine area.

Mostly for what has already been mentioned but also for the gratification of finishing the model and how good(hopefully ) it looks. There is no gratification in buying a model already done other than saying I have the model. There is sooo much more gratification when building the model yourself.
