That's interesting, I didn't know there was yet another more aggressive cam. My T4 is a '91 but I don't have specific info on it so I couldn't be sure what cam it has. Do you have lobelift numbers etc for the cam you're looking for? I'd be real interested to know how it compares.

I think it's the cam that you have in your motor. Any 91 Sr20 vehicle (in the US at least) has the slightly more "aggressive" cams. If you get a chance look at www.sportcompactcarweb.com for details, they did a cam shootout and it described the differences in there , it's the June 2000 issue. the part number on the earlier cam is 13020-64Y00
has a valve lift of .394" and duration of 248 degrees. where as the newer cam (my cam) has a valve lift of .341" and duration of 232 degrees. hope this helps.

Wow, that's really good to know, thanks. I'll check out the link too. If you don't find one and you'd like me to price it in NZ, let me know.

Well, they can be purchased from dealers here in teh US, as they are the stock cam in early SR20 cars over here. It's just that usually when people upgrade to better cams (JWT cams) they have their old cams laying around, and sell them (or just the intake cam) pretty cheap (usually 50-100 or so?) where as new it is around 225, i think? if you can find an older cam, and you have a newer model motor (lowport) it's one of the better bang for the buck mods you can do. Thanks

Don't you need to get the followers that go with the cam on a used one? I always understood that the cam lobes and followers mate to eachother and a new cam should get new followers - so does this apply to used cams too? - might be something to consider.... and thank you for the info on '91 cams, might have to get myself a subscription to SCC so I can read that cam article.

TIZAO, are these cams still for sale? If so, what car did they come from, how did they come under your ownership, how many miles are on them, and will you sell them to me shipped for $50?

Thanks.
