Hi Daniel, despite I'm not a lover of the GT-One, your progress is outstandingly inspirating. Amazing skill and perfect explanations.

WOW, awesome level of detailing!
I like how you post and explain, my most favourite was how you sayd: To make it more challenging, I broke the body in parts

Wundervoll, liebe Grüsse!

Re: Tamiya Toyota GT-one 1/24 //full detail//

hello, anly a small updated because I had some big problems to solve...

an example :

I had to move the monocoque around 3-4 mm back because it won't fit anymore after all my modifications I did to the bodywork... when test fitting everything looked OK but after painting it won't fit anymore ?!? I hope the rest will fit and the wheels will look OK in the fenders.

the green point shows the location where the pin is located that has to fit inside the hole inside the green circle, just to give you an idea how much I moved the monocoque back

to make some "hosebands" I airbrushed some alutape with 50/50 clear red/ matt clear

that's how it looks applied...on the 1/1 car it looks much better but this was the best I could come up with. I'm just to stupid to handle those PE hosebands, all I have are just to rigid

OK crappy picture, what do we see here ?!? that is the hose between brakes and brake coolongs..those flexible hoses, I wanted to replace the kit parts in some way..unfortunately I didn't find a solution so I wrapped the parts with .28 mm wire and glued them back on :-)

here are the finished parts. I think the waved form looks much better than the bare kitpart. I added some red electric tape and some alu tape to add further detail...this is not correct when compared to the 1/1 car but I like it :-)

the etched coolers, sanded a bit and washed with black

I made four of these parts to have two spare, because I usually break or scrath everything I make...so now I don't have to turn on the airbrush again if something goes wrong

attached to the model, the rear body is not glued

the front part of my broken bodywork fits perfect but the rear still needs a lot of finetuning

that's it for now...I'm waiting for my package from japan with lots of cables to detail the engine
