My best race was with a 4th gen Prelude...

I was on my way home from work crusin about 55 in a 45 zone in either 4th or 5th gear... I dont remember which...

This white 'Lude comes up in the right lane makin all kinds of noise with his loud ass exhaust... I dropped a gear and gave it some gas so he would know I was interested...

We both floored it, and we hung about even... We stopped at a redlight ahead and went for it again once the light turned green... I hung with him till he shifted to 3rd, where he pulled ahead a bit...

We kept going at it up this long ass hill... we hit about 90 (in a 45 zone :P) When I saw a red light ahead... I hit the brakes and slowed down way in advance... the Prelude kept going and had to lock up his brakes to stop... he skidded to a stop halfway into the intersection and had to turn around... I just sat at the redlight and laughed...

It boosted my confidence a bit to know I hung with a Prelude with at least an exhaust (I saw some digital thingy above his radio at the stoplight... maybe it was one of those vtec controllers or somethin)'

Re: You know you do it !! Post your kill stories

okay since we're on the kill story kick i'll tell ya'll about my very first race ever....

Okay so i had saved up all summer to get myself a Z28 (this was in 1999) and finally after all the hard work in the fields i got one. The very first day that i got it i was driving home from a vike's game (which we won thank you very much...go vikes!!) and a young asian dude in a an Acura Integra Type R, was pacing me for about 5 minutes on the highway. And seeing that this was a lengendary import car that has been know to surprise alot of V8's i thought what the hell.....
So, i kept an even speed of 70 mph and looked over at him, and held up three fingers and pointed to my horn....he noded....so i give him the first honk, and then the second, and finally with excitement i hit the third beep. And we were off, he had gotten about half a car length on me at about 95mph and then at about 100mph I finally started to pull him in...once we got up to 120 i was ahead by about 2 and half car lengths and he shut down and took a ramp.....oh man, good times, it was the most exciting thing i had done all year!! haha

Cool this has been resurrected twice.

There is nothing wrong with posting your own topic with a kill story in it.

Four years old.... sheesh

Talking Re: You know you do it !! Post your kill stories

My brother's kill really I was shotgun. We were headed home and we pulled up to a light in my brother's 95' Toyota Tacoma 2x4 and a 98'-00' year S10 pulls up' with no warning he jumps off the line my brother guns it, he got one car length on us but by third gear we pulled by him and never looked back.

He probably jumped us cause we buzzed by him at 85 in a 50 zone earlier.

PS. Are there any other racers in Richmond IN. 99regalGS
