Cavaliers, Sorry I missread what you said. I apologize. Thanks for the compliment on the car, Although the one pictured isnt mine. But mine does look fairly similar. Its just easier to link a picture than to put up a crappy picture of my car on a website than link it to here. I never said people upgrade more Camaro's than Integra's. I just stated that both cars get modified. And yes, I've heard of rice... it's rather unpleasing to the eye at time. Some Import/Domestic rice owners choose some of the most god-awful flouresecnt colors. I'd rather stare at the sun than at the car...

Oh yeah, forgot to add as to Why I'm in the Integra Forum
1. I saw the topic in the 'latest discussions' box when coming onto the site, It looked interesting so I looked into it. 2. I frequently visit the Honda/Acura forum because its usually always has something new in it. If you look at the Chevy forum you'll notice there isnt a bustle of activity. 3. Plus I dont think a domestic owners point of view could hurt anything?

Hey man i usually dont post but, I just wanted to say i have a basically stock integra and i can beat older z-28's and some v8 mustangs 94-95.
All i have is i/h/e and some pulleys, and the good thing about it is i get 32 miles a gallon. |

Im 17 and had about all of them. I had a V6 camaro, not to slow, but not too fast, a 2000 SS, automatic, so fast if i stomped it at 35 the wheels would role, and now a 2000 Mustang, which I am selling to get and integra/ prelude? Why, probably similar to rice at hearts reason, gas and insurance. Personally, a z28 is goin to f up most integras and preludes, the have double the cylinders, and double the insurance, and half the gas milage. Different people like different things. I think the guy is wanting to know if anyone has an integra to sell?? Thats just my 4 1/2 cents.

if speed were everything, then all people would be driving domestics. but gas and insurance are very big factors in purchasing a car, as mentioned before. also there's that whole underdog factor. if you see an integra pull up to a camaro, pretty much everyone who's watching knows that the camaro's gonna win. but there's always that little part of you, rooting for the little guy to just embarass the crap out of the big v-8 bully.

Well just to add another 2 cents to the story, I personaly think that its a lot easier and cheeper to get a honda/acura to fast than a domestic. Put a 200hp engine on a 2400lbs car and its about the same as having a 400hp engine on 4000lbs car. But if you upgrade that engine 100 hp on both cars the "ricer" will benefit more than the domestic since the weight to power ratio is diff. But that is just my oppinion.
PS: and forgot to mention about the roads, they all not straight aways all the time. wher a "ricer" will give that domestic a good show. :bandit: :smoka: :smoker2: aither way to want to put it. |

hahahaha... You show me a Domestic Sports car that weighs 4000lbs and I'll think you're cool. But the fact of the matter is, it IS easier to upgrade a V8. Its a proven fact that you can gain as much as 40-50hp over stock just by replacing the exhaust. Not to mention a '02 Camaro SS has nearly 340hp stock... not to far off from 400hp is it? Minor mods and you're making that magical 400hp... in a 3300lb car. And yes, not all roads are straight... but dont forget Camaro's werent designed to go in straight lines either. They do very well in the twisties, same as Mustangs. You give a F-body or 'Stang to a compitent driver and they'll show you what the car was designed to do. Power to weight ratios.. ahh yes funny you mention that... a 2400lb car with 200hp has a 12:1 power to weight ratio. A 3300lb Camaro SS has a 9.7:1 Power to weight ratio stock. Now explain to me how the 'ricer' as you put it... will benefit more? And, I'd hate to say I'm flaming people... Cause I'm not just pointing out facts. But to the guy who said he gets 32mpg I'd like to point out that Camaro's do get 28-29mpg on the Highway...

Power to weight ratio is Hp/Weight... so 2400lb car w/ 200hp is .083 and a 3300lb Camaro SS is .103 The way I did it was Weight/Hp... which seems easier to see a major difference. My Mistake.

The point I was trying to make is that the import can benefit from a 100hp gain more than the domestic. And the only car I seen to keep up with a well set up import is the vette zo6. I autoxoss every other weekend and maybe you can tell me why I have not seen many domestics that can do well there. Hmmm, O i got it, they are called "corners" and domestics can't handle them. But any way, we all have our oppinons, but I can tell you that my car has 170hp at the fly wheel and it runs 1/4 mille in 14.9sec with i/h/e. And its valued at under 10K. All I can say is that I got my moneys worth. Any way it's late, im tired and I don't feel like arguing with you. So
off to your boring domestic forum.

hahaha.. domestics cant corner.. funny.
you run a 14.9, and with a car that costs less than 10k.... thats soooo crazyyyy I donnt believeeee... Trying to impress me? How about this? My car when all is said and done will be less than 7k, including the price of the car, and will run 11's. Ooo wow nobody is caring. Not to mention if I spend yet another $700-$1000 on suspension modifications I can nearly hang with a Z06 on the skid pad. Not too shabby for a 31 year old car. AutoX is fun, and FWD cars do the best there, FWD cars turn easier in tight spaces. Having the driving wheels pulling you through a corner helps you out. Unfortunately having too much torque and RWD will hinder you in a AutoX situation. But get both cars out onto an open track, not 1/4 mile either. But a real open road coarse and you'll see who dominates who.

Im not trying to impress you at all. Im just stating the facts about my car. Is not the fastest and is not the best, but it's 5yrs old and it has power window, power steering, power door locks and a/c. So my point is that we have this cars, you keep talking and your car is not even done, thats if you really have this Nova that you are talking so much about. I know that musle cars are a grate thing to have but these days the small compacts tends to dominate the streets. So untill you have the car that you keep talking about you will have to sit back, shut-up and watch up blow by u.

Just because the Motor currently sits on a engine stand awaiting parts, and a new transmission is needed... doesnt mean the car doesnt exist. If you want I'll email you pictures. Lets not forget I just sold my old 70 Nova, which I drove for a Year. Still have pictures of that too. Hahaha... fake Nova haha funny stuff. How do we know you've got that B18C conversion in your Hatch?
