And is the kit shown the box stock Fujimi kit? Or is the engine from somewhere else?
I just added spark plug wires, but that's it for the engine. Now that I took that apart and looked at it again, I think Fujimi's Koenig TR is pretty good kit, in my opinion. It was produced, before Fujimi lost the skilled staff to Rosso, so it might as well be good.
For the black one on my homepage, I changed the headlight cover, rear view mirrors, engine cover to the stock ones, using Miami Vice TR as a donor, and I used so-called Koenig wing, instead of the F40-like wing.

Some progress on my Testarossa (i think i'll put my Tom's Supra on hold, not much modification to be done...):
-All louvers removed, side intake smoothened
-New thicker rear stabilizer made from aluminium rod
-Engine painted

Hey hirofkd:
Does the Keonig have lower suspension than the TR? How to do a suspension lowering job?
Will a Group C wing be too big on a TR?

Some progress and plans:

Progress:
Engine and intake manifold painted,
96 JGTC R33 Skyline Wing almost ready, endplates replaced with 0.3mm sheet styrene, though they are too high, they interfere with the wing supports, got to cut them shorter tomorrow,
Rear lincense plate housing filled and sanded,
Drilled holes in tailight housings, planning to make altezza type tailights with black background

Major Plans:
Due to misalignment of the door lines on the body and on the side intake vents, i m planning to rescribe the door lines,
To scratchbuild new 14mm disc brakes with new scallops and caliper housings,
Roll cage,
Scratchbuilt dampers and springs (There are 6 of them on the Testarossa), hard work,
Modified suspension uprights, to make them look like racing uprights,
Recessed headlights,

Started to draw the diagrams for the brake discs, but found that i don't have a protractor, got to get them tomorrow and get working...

Some more progress:
-Spark plug wires done using copper wires, unpainted, to simulate clear vinyl wires, may want to coat the wires with white glue later on to make them more realistic.
-Firewall coated with cigarette packing foil and aluminium foil. This is the most tedious process so far, because the cigarette foil backing paper is very fragile and can tear easily so i cut the pieces to shape first then stick them.
-Suspension lowered around 1+mm, tie rod bent to clear the chassis and to give the front suspension a little more toe-in.

Now i really wish i had a digital camera. I want to share my project with other modellers.

This is an '85 Koenig Testarossa, but I think it's a good reference for building similar stuff.

Sorry guys this is a little off topic.....:smoka:

A question for Sausage....................

The Ferrari 250 GTO that you have in your "to do" list, with the open doors etc, what brand and scale is it? Is it still available and what is the quality like, compared with Tamiya. Does it have a complete engine?

Thanks

Now back to your regular programming...............

It's by Protar, 1/24 scale. Full engine and suspension detail, it even comes with little springs. Basically, it's an incredible product, let down by the decals they provide for window trim. I plan to use bare metal foil instead. Haven't assembled it yet but I guess the fit will be very poor compared to Tamiya. I heard it's OOP, and Protar is now concentrating on bikes.
