Did you give him an exact paint code or was your request more of a "I need a 1976 Ford blue" kind of thing? You really need to give him an exact code rather than the latter in my experience.

His great reputation for service and products isn't undeserved and is based on reality but it is worth remembering that hiroboy.com is still a relatively young operation run just by himself and that, to his credit, he puts his priority on servicing those orders that he already has.

I know from personal experience that finding the codes for older, more obscure colors can be quite hard to find and I guess Hiroboy doesn't always have the time to do my research for me

A post here on AF is usually a very effective way of tracking down the number you need. Another very good source are enthusiast forums dedicated to the marque/model in question - a Google search nearly always finds such a forum.
