Ugh, not liking the colour at all, but I'll see what the whole thing looks like when it's finished

Re: WIP: Tamiya Skyline R32 street - DRIFT

That paint makes the model look more "toyish" looking, but we'll see how it comes out when it's done.

Re: WIP: Tamiya Skyline R32 street - DRIFT

Very cool! Carbon paint looks sweet! Weave may be a little out of scale, but for your first time its very nice! Wish I had the huevos to do that!

Re: WIP: Tamiya Skyline R32 street - DRIFT

thank you

yes, I know its abit out of scale..
but if you watch it from a litlle distance, I think it looks ok (you dont see the problem that much) - the picture is very close

maybe I will spray it with clear coat

Re: WIP: Tamiya Skyline R32 street - DRIFT

Glad to see this is still in progress. I like what you've done with the wheels. They look really good. Still not really a fan of the colour choice...never liked this colour . Did you use a netting material for the carbon fibre effect? Like you agree it is a little bit out of scale, so maybe double layer the netting next time (or if you can still do so now). Fold the netting material in two with one layer cutting through half the holes of the other layer, so that there the mesh is finer. Maybe that might help? Keep it up though.
