Should I get a new sensor?
This could be a problem unrelated. Usually a bad O2 Sensor will throw a CEL but not always. The symptoms you are describing do not sound like an O2 sensor problem to me. But what the problem with your O2 sensor is, I don't know. I'm sure someone else here may be able to enlighten you.

There are two O2 sensors, one on the O2 Housing off the turbo and the other behind the cat. Are you logging from the O2 sensor in the front or back?

I don't put much faith in the stock O2 sensors. The only way to get real good readings is to use a wideband O2 sensor.

Re: please help, boost problems

I'm not sure which sensor I am reading from. I thought the 1g didn't have the second sensor, only the 2g's did. I will have to look into that. Thanks a lot for the help.

Re: please help, boost problems

did you boost leak test it beyond the psi your car is rated at? if so you should see the wastegate start moving. if it doesnt, or if it somehow got damaged, it will let all boost get by. this wouldnt cause your idle to do that though. a high idle at start is usually a vaccuum leak, possibly electrical. o2 could have affected this

Re: please help, boost problems

When I tested it the first time I had a better compressor and I tested it until the wastegate opened, which was around 10psi. Yeah I think I'm going to try and get a new o2 sensor that goes in the o2 housing. Any suggestions on where to buy a good one from? Thanks
