Cool Turbo...

Once you experience boost - there's no going back. LOL - they call it "The Dark Side" because it turns into a money pit - all towards upgrades, and making the car faster.

The common upgrades for the 300zx twin turbo are an exhaust, intake, and ECU - which run in total about 1500 - and add about another 80-100hp by increasing the boost. (note: no ecu for the 96, so if you intend on modding it - get a 90-95)

If you can find a car that's been well maintained, buy it. Check http://www.twinturbo.net for some shopping tips - do a search and check out the faq.

You'll be lucky to find a TT Z for $11,000 with low miles on it. My dad got lucky and found one with 50,000 and got a good price on it. And what Darryl said is absolutely true. If you're looking for performance, spend the money on the TT car instead of throwing a lot of money into a n/a car just to make it as fast as the tt. There is nothing that compares to the feeling of a tt car at wot.
