I really don't see why this is such a popular comparison. The Corvette wins hands down. It really isn't even close... But I will say that it is a good topic for a speech: Both American, both fast, both popular.

Actually in the road test section of Motor Trend, the cobra runs a 4.7 0-60 and a 12.8 quarter mile. the z06 runs a 4.6 0-60 and a 12.9 quarter mile. I know that the cobra is 500 pounds heavier, but weight is not everything. the cobra is just as fast as the z06.

i got this. the Z06 your thinking of is the older version i beleive it has 385hp its like a 99 or 00. the newer Z06 run 12.4 and have been known to run in the high 11's bone stock with 405hp a cobra cannot touch a Z06!!
