Re: Went to the track last night....

yup, exhibition of acceleration is a legit charge. that's what my friend was written up with when he got caught street racing in his 72 chevelle SS. but still, the charge is broad enough to be applied to many different situations in which you are driving quickly.

Re: Went to the track last night....

Buddy of mine got ticketed for exhibition of speed and the cop never even saw how hard he took off. It was dark and the cop was up ahead. All he saw was the front end come up when the car squatted.

Re: Went to the track last night....

your max hp comes at 6000 rpm and your torque comes at 2500 rpm so instead of dumping the clutch at a higher rpm keep it around there you wont lose as much traction and id say around 6200 would probably be a good shift but then again i dont own one but thats what i would try to see if you want to get a faster time. trial and error

hey bro.. VR4s come with factory 245 45 R17 tire.. all wheel drive... and two turbos..
1 you stated most torque is at 2500 RPMs dude.. I just start building boost at 2500 rpms there is no freaking way..
2 if I launch at closer to 2500 rpms it would be more like a crawl off the line.. I can launch my car at 7k and I will just grab and go.. no wheel spinning.. non.. not even a freakin squell.. if your tire's spin launching at under 5k you should look at getting some new tires

sorry bad night.. didnt mean to rag on you

Have you ever heard of a major bog? Because thats what youd do launching an AWD TT car at 2500 rpm. Hell I launch my FWD higher than that. When I still drove my TSI I launched it at 5500-6000k rpm. Took off like a fucking rocket every time. I made grown men scream with my launches.

i'll admit i even screamed a lil when i first gave a good launch of the stealth. awd is amazing, and i'm really starting to hate rwd in the rain, it sux at making turns, and damn its near impossible to get it to g o without spinning the tyres

Re: Went to the track last night....

I wish I had in car camera when I launched it hard with my friend Mike in the car. I actually laughed in the middle of the launch because of him screaming. Once I stopped I looked over at him still laughing. He look back at me and was like "Dude we fucking went sideways" :lmao:

Ahh the fun and glory of an AWD turbo.
