Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

Yeah, I kinda agree with Garrett on this. A Wiseco/Eagle/stock crank combo should take 600 AWHP no problem and that is literally about or less than half the price tag. And after reading Wil's posts and rereading that, something does sound a good couple grand off. Brian had the piss machined out of his motor for like $950 IIRC.

Have you gone down there and torn ass yet?

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

I spoke with Shaun monday afternoon. Was straight up with him and asked when my car will be done. He told me that I will have a running car by the end of this week.

Under Machining Package in the invoice it says "includes bearings." This could also be why the machining price seems to be up a bit.

I know this setup will most likely be able to handle more power than I will put out of it. I would rather have the capability of making more power then worrying about how close I am to the max rated HP of the setup.

A complete bearing set should run you no more than about $100. I still think you're getting screwed here somewhere.....

Well he told me last week that it would be back by friday. Friday came and went. Now he says it will be completely done by tuesday or wed. I have tried to call him today to see if it will be done tommarow so I know if i will have to rush home from work to pick it up or not but, no one picks up when I call.

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

Damn dude, that blows. I would be soooo pissed if I were you. I hope it works out. Want Thor to call and ask when the fuck your shit will be done? I could pretend to be the Better Business Bureau and scare them a bit .

Haha you would deffinatly have to record the audio. Better yet give them a mobster accent... that might scare them a bit more.

I'll be calling tommarow to see whats up, if the decide to pick up their damn phone. I'll keep you all posted.

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

Suprise, suprise today came and went and I still do not have my car. I called him today and he says "Well the guy doing most the work on your car has been out all week." EVEN THOUGH I called him yesterday and he told me that they are working on my car as I was talking to him and it will be done tommarow(WED). He told me my car will be done Friday no doubt.

So, after getting the news... I flipped shit. I told him I'm sick and tired of being dicked around and being lied to. My car has been there for over 3 months and I'm $3,200 in and still have nothing. For all I know my car is exactly like it was when I dropped it off. I told him all the times he has told me he is going to call me(lost count) I never recieved just ONE call from him. At the end of my hissy fit I said... "Either way running or not... my car WILL be leaving your shop on Friday." He replied, "Your car will be done on Friday."

So, now I wait...

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

I left work on Friday and started on the hour drive down there. When I was about 5 minutes away Shaun called me and told me the car was ready for pick up. Got there and everything went smooth. However, I didn't get any kind of reinbursment or anything for the amount of time and trouble I went through. Honestly, I was just glad to finally see my car again in 4 months. I was a little pissed off though because my car had oil/greese handprints smuges from front to back. My hood was half black. They didn't even make an attempt to scrub it off. But, hey I guess they aren't a car wash and they sure as hell haven't been very curtious.

I have been driving it for the past 3 days now and as of now I have 500 miles on it and its sitting in my garage ready for an oil change. On pick up Shaun told me to check the oil/coolant every 250miles and change the oil at 500 miles. His directions are completely different from what I've read. I have been checking the oil/coolant every 200 miles however. The first 200 miles it burnt about a quart of oil. At 400 it burnt only a half quart.

The rest of the problems are as follows. My check engine light has been on the past 2 days(EGR flow malfunction). My final invoice it says I have a Wiesco stroker piston set and on my first invoice it says I have Arias pistons. So just goes to show you they still don't have any of their shit together when they fuck up the final invoice for the second time. The first time when I gave them a downpayemnt of 3200 they marked it as only 3000.

As of now I will never recomend Extreme Motorsports to anyone. The motor is running fine so far but, we will see what happens over the next week.

Glad to hear it man, sorry you had to go through so much shit. Just do exactly as they say and if something fucks up, then take their asses to court and a half.

Re: Problems with Extreme Motorsports !HELP!

The car is deffinatly running very nice and smooth. Sounds pretty wicked and is pretty fast for only 12 pounds of boost and not beating on it.

Hopefully sometime this week or next I can get it back down there so he can do the "final inspection" and throw it on the dyno and turn up the boost for me. I'll keep this thread updated so you all can see how it all works out.
