it would be noticable. but it depends on your ear. like to some people 6 db can be huge while others not to much since it is a DD

you'll notice a +/- 6db swing, that's the same as doubling/halving your perceived loudness...

I was thinking about getting an alpine type-r and running it on that amp..

1. how would that sound? better in ported or sealed?

2. I had a kicker CVR 12", and had 500 rms going to it. How much of a diference should i expect? (it was in my car, and the car was stolen)
