the pantera with the hemi weighed less with the 351 clevland in the originals b/c them had aluminum heads. weights in at 2970 pounds.

I wonder how this upgraded 426 compares to a 528. Do you know any of the power specs what about the performances of the car 0-60 1/4 etc. Thanks

You can't be serious George, a 351C weighs 500lbs with iron heads, and a Hemi weighs far more than that.

As for the 528 vs 426, they're the same engine, the 528 just has a longer stroke.

here's all I know bout that Horsepower 700hp at 6600rpm
Torque 630fp 5300rpm 0-60 mph 3,3 sec

yea but think about her with aluminum heads and that weight I put up there was the total car weight with the hemi.

Well, they had to update the styling to match cars like the Countach, and Ferraris of the era... I also prefer the classic look of the pre 74 Panteras, before they tacked on those heavy bumpers.

Seriously though, the 351C has the best smallblock heads ever put on a production car, with a possible exception being the ZR1 LT5 heads. Those heads support more than enough flow for a big block, in fact, the 351C just didn't have the displacement to warrant those sort of heads. However, a 450ci stroker based off the 400M block does. The 400M was a 351C with a taller deck height, and junk heads based off of the 351C 2 barrel heads.

So I see you have a 64 Alpine Tiger, does it still have the original engine, or have you done anything to give it more power?

Much has been updated.

Now with a Ford Motorsports 302, dyno says 272.4 rwhp, backed up by a 5-speed. Lots of suspension mods, upgraded interior, etc. -- but all keeping a "period look".
