Re: Do you keep all your old model boxes?

I keep all of mine. I still have them all right under my bed. I don't know why, but I just do.

I typically cut out the side panel of the fujimi/aoshima kits, and display it next to the corresponding car. On Revell/AMT kits, I might cut out the side panel if it is attractive art.

I've never had any reason to keep boxes, I just chuck 'em. Most of the kits I've built didn't have real inspiring box art, just an illustration. I already know what the car looks like, and if I forget I have a model I can look at, so there's no reason for me to clutter my apartment with empty boxes. I've never regretted throwing them out, though I have wondered what it would be like to have kept them....

I've chucked all but a very few...

I think I will start taking digi-pix of them before I toss any new ones though.

Re: Re: Do you keep all your old model boxes?

I usually keep my bigger boxes for throwing parts and the likes in. others, I cut the box art, and keep the instructions. Works the best for me.

I KEEP EVERYTHING! I think, that I should keep what I paid for. I keep the box, the instructions, the leftover plastic and the plastic bags. It's sort of like a ... hmm.. memory thing, it's like, OH YEAH! I remember when I was newb and built that kit! Then you look at another and it's....... cool!
So, I say you should keep what you paid for. Even if it's just some plastic and some paper!

I don't have a huge collection of model boxes yet . The boxes that I have I've kept just to store the extra pieces and whatnot.

I keep all of my model boxes, instructions, and anything else that comes with them. I usually store the instructions in a separate place, and use the boxes to put parts and stuff in. I always seem to find a use for them.

Re: Do you keep all your old model boxes?

I keep a few only for transportation along wth some bubble wrap and to hold other spare parts. I do keep every instruction though. And I keep pics only If I like the real car pic or it has interesting facts.
