Re: Z goes away.

There's been a red 951 with the black mesh rims at this car dealer across the street from the market I go to for a very long time now. If it's got issues like my 944 did, no wonder nobody wants it... haha

Z ftw!

EDIT: Just saw that red 951 again yesterday. They're not really mesh rims... more like black 5 stars with polished lip. Oh and isn't the 928 like the only Porsche to have a front mounted V8? Wife's ex had a poop brown autotragic one... might be one of the reasons they got divorced

Only cool thing about the 928 is Risky Business.

Re: Z goes away.

i dont know how much money the guy is dealing with, the 928 gts is not slower than a 944. And consider that thte engine is 2x the size of the 944, u can do twice the amount of work with it(2 turbos/superchargers).
it's a lil uglier from the rear but it's the same basic look that the 944 has(to an extent)

or if u were willing to invest time in finding one, u could try for a 968

We are talking about the turbo 944 though which is faster then "most" 928's. And with just a chip will take a 928GTS. Also I dont mind the back of the 928 its the front that is ugly. And the front of the 951 and 928 are nothing a like.

In the end yes the 928 has a bigger engine but your talking big $$$ to make it FI. Its really not worth it when you consider for the money your going to spend you could have a 700+hp 951 And im not bsing look up SpecialTool on rennlist.com (I got a ride in that car)

Re: Z goes away.

+1 ^^

There is actually a black 928 even closer to where I live. The pop-up headlights are more roundish and look like "bug eyes"...

All this talk about 951s is making me want to stop by and look at that red one up close...

Re: Z goes away.

u should stop and look at the 951, they r nice cars.

i'm just throwing out cars i know that have front engine and rwd.

i saw a new 911 turbo yesterday, and god they are amazing, i got a ride in a 996 turbo, but man 2yrs makes one hell of a difference(and maybe 50hp or so)

i'm still trying to sell my neon so i can go get my 944. i just wanted front engine, 5spd, and rwd, the 240sx and 944 were the winners, but 240's are hard to find

That's funny, that the 240sx is hard to find and that the 944 isn't. Normally it should be the other way around.

Re: Z goes away.

sorry i knew the minute i posted that, that would b said, i meant the 95-98 240sx, i dont really like the 240 hatchbach(odd considering the 944 is the same type of hatch)
