Talking Quiksilver

Hey Matt Nice quiksilver, Ive owned mine for a year now and have modded it quite a lot, 15" league integeras, Pipercross filter, Lowered 50mm on back and 40mm on front, De-badged, Front Cossie style front splitter, 1 off Big spoiler designed for 206 but adapted in a body shop to fit my 106. Ive also had a EVO 6 bonnet vent cut into my bonnet . I havent any resent pictures only ones before most of the modding but have just done the front end in on black ice . Anyway getting to the question I see you have had your ECU remapped did you find much of an improvement in performance doing this? And if so how much did it cost to have done?

I will upload some of the pics I have of the car then once I rebuild the front end again I will upload the pics of the car modded.

Cheers

Hi all...

I`m a fellow 106 maniac from Athens Greece.
I`ve just registered as a new member and i hope that i`ll add something
to your forum conversations...I`m currently driving a Peugeot 106 16v rallye. The car wears a full Jenvey 45mm 4-throttle body kit ,with Kent 272 degrees cams, new reprogrammable Haltec emu, full Magnex exhaust kit, and many other engine mods that i cant post because of my poor english.
Other than that, the suspension is totally replaced by a Bilstein GroupN with Proflex springs (4cm lowering, 300 libs) and a bigger (24) torsion bar...I also upgraded the differential to LSD ( Limited Slip Differential )...The car now, produces about 195hp at shaft (122hp was from factory) at 8.700rpm.
My other mods are:

Speedline Rally-7 16s alloys.
Yokohama A539 tyres.
Momo streetracer bucket seats.
Momo competition wheel.
Short shift gear changer.
Twin Morette headlambs.
Tinted windows.
Tinted rear clusters.
Rear cluster eyebrows.
106 maxi, rear spoiler.
modified bonnet, impreza WRC look.

I think thats all...

I`m currently thinking of upgrade the looks of the car, by putting a 106 Maxi full bodykit...

Here`s a photo driving my car in a race track (Megara track),during a clubs track day...At that point the car was fully modified engine wise, but not yet finished exterior side....I will post some new photos the soonest possible...

Hi Chris.....
Sorry I have'nt answered sooner but here goes..............

Since having the Superchip I've lost the flat spot between first and second and the acceleration through the gears is noticeably better
As for the cost.... Well.... One of my friends is a Superchip's dealer so I got it a lot cheaper than normal

Just had me Quiksilver rolling roaded and got..... 81 bhp @ the flywheel
60 bhp @ the wheels. Was hoping for a bit more seeing as I've taken the cat off but looks like there's room for improvement

cheers

Talking Pug 106

Hi to all you 106 owners.
All your cars look great - I especially like th Gold GTi. Just a quick question - why did some of you guys buy the Quicksilver model???? Surely you'd have been better off with the 106's twin - the Saxo VTR - more power (100bhp stock) and more mods available and free insurance??? all for £8995 now Just a thought.....
