I think it is real. And if it isn't, that is a pretty good job. I am not a fan of flame thrower kits on newer cars, but that is a col f**kin pick.

I took this today at a porsche club meet at Pacific Raceways in Washington. It has not been touched at all, I had to take about 15 continuos shots to get that!

It is very possible without a flamethrower kit though prolly not on that car. Watch some professional track racing (the super V8 cars especially) and you will definatly see some flames coming from the exhaust. No car with a cat will be able to perform this feat without that flamekit.

I think this pic is a fake due to point A the righting goes behind the flame and on point b the sun reflection goes through the flame. Being a picture editor my self this tells me that this pic has been played with. But dont get me wrong you can get kits that do this and i am very sure that there is cars quite cable of doing this too.

It is a good picture though, somebody has spent alot of time on this picture.

Happy motoring

Tim

My ZR-1 has done that a couple of times after I put my new exhaust on (gutted cats) when I heel-toe, or so I've been told; I've never seen it. I can here the popping though. You don't need a "flamethrower kit" to do it. All it is is unburned gases combusting on the way out.

That pic is most likely real. I can see the flames spiraling out of the inner right pipe. That would be way too difficult to do on Photo Shop. The flames are not created by a flame thrower kit. I don't think that Gembella would put that kind of a thing on one of their monsters. The flames are created from overlap, as someone has already said. The unburnt air fuel mixture goes through the exhaust system, and because of the high heat of the metal, or because of burning carbon deposits.

We could have just asked if the pic was real or not… it would have saved us all this debating!

That is real! didnt you ever see any gt class porsche races!? All the cars blow flames... Honestly if you take a 930 turbo and put a less restrictive exhaust on the car WILL shoot flames... Believe me, before i bought mine i looked at a 930 that did it... The owner told me that people have got him to pull over and warned "Your car is on fire!" It natural for porsches with unrestrictive exhaust to blow fire... Dont make stuff up that you have no idea about. For instance, the first response...

you bet it's real. there are kits available that can make flames come out of your exhaust up to 20 feet. Kickin'!

Ya thats a butane flamethrower, idiot.. No one puts them on porsches... Porsches are just nasty! (in a good way) Porsches dont need "artificial" flames because with some modification they produce real flames without the use of a flamethrower

Talking

I have a site where you can get plenty of porsche wallpapers.

http://pcl.from.lv/

I have a picture of the Gemballa 750 GTR evo without the GT sign on the back and you can see the reflection of the flames.
