Just wondering why didn't you go with a 347 setup if you've already had the motor apart? Not much of a Ford man myself so there may be something I'm not seeing but aren't the parts about the same as far forged internals go for the 302 and the stroker? Anywho welcome to AF enjoy your stay here it's a great community.

I was really wanting to go with a 347 setup..but I got the forged 306 stuff for next to nothing so I couldn't pass it up. I'm just gonna live with this while I piece together a dart block 427 with a t56 tranny...gonna take some time though...I'm shooting to have it done in 3 years
 BlackGT: yup...and a tail light swap  ..... I'm kinda wanting to go back to the 94-95 ones though...The only reason I swapped over was because one of mine got cracked....and I got two verticals for a little less than the price of one horizontal.
