Re: whats better abt the 6bolt motor then the 7bolt?

The first post scottsee made should have been more than enough to satisfy your questions.

Read first then ask questions after if you still have them. We are not here to regurgitate information to you, we are here to show you where to find it.

Re: whats better abt the 6bolt motor then the 7bolt?

Everyone always misses the number one advantage of 6 bolts over 7 bolts.. its so simple too. 6 bolts are far superior because they weigh less by saving weight by reducing the number of bolts on the crankshaft... they probably weigh 50-60% of a tenth of percent LESS
Think about it!~

Re: whats better abt the 6bolt motor then the 7bolt?

because when chuck norris looked at a piece of iron, the iron feared for its life and it turned into the 6-bolt block. thats why its better...

Re: whats better abt the 6bolt motor then the 7bolt?

Here ya go, since nobody can decide the differences between the 6 and 7 bolt engines I decided to lay it out to the best of my knowledge

1) The 6-bolt and the 7-bolt are called this is due to the number of bolts that the flywheel/crank requires.

2) The 6-bolt has stronger connecting rods than the 7-bolt.

3) 6-bolt engines have a larger throttle body, intake runners and intake manifold than the 7-bolt.

4) The last thing is that the 6-bolts have an adjustable cam angle sensor which can be used to give some more timing to the ignition.

5) Also, the 6-bolt engines are quite beefier than the 7-bolt ones.

These are all the differences to the best of my knowledge...feel free to correct me
