Sorry, I've been seriously absent lately and missed this thread.
Hopefully my input can still help.

For all of my racing, up until last year, I always did "factory spec alignments" and had good success with that. I realized that pushing the alignment one way would be better for drag and pushing it another way would be good for hillclimbs and another way would be good for autocross.

Alignments really can get overwhleming if you overanalze them and your needs which is probably why I mostly ignored them for years.

Last year was a changing point for me. We couldn't really drag race and the car was getting seriously fast on the hillclibms so it became crucial to make sure I was as fast and safe on the hills as possible ... so we played with the alignment and let drag racing & autocrossing be damned

Right now, the car is set up toward the high-speed turn stuff.
This makes it have a little more understeer on the autocross course and a little less meat on the ground for drag racing ... but I'm not crashing anywhere
