Re: 91 Prelude SR

Looks pretty nice! I see you attempted to do the 90/91 tail lights. That's probably going to be the hardest part of my build. I'm thinking I'm going to have to modify the kit tail lights, make a mold then cast them in clear resin. Thanks for sharing yours, it's the style I like... nothing excessively flashy.

Re: 91 Prelude SR

thanks. i didnt really attempt to do the 90/91 tails, i just wanted the clear corner lens look for my car. that prellude i posted was already its third buildup. i went first with a european look (clear lenses, clean interior, hubcap wheels with a darker red shade.) second rebuild was a street racer, big wing and racing interior. it didn't fit with the car, stripped it again and rebuilt it as a clean JDM version. was gonna convert it to RHD but i can't find my RHD dash . i really didnt want to mess the clean look of the clear corner lenses so i kept it like that.

saw ur build up on the forums. great cars

Re: 91 Prelude SR

I was thinking one of these two colors for my car. I kinda like the metallic olive green, but the candy apple red looks nice too. Pretty much any color of wheels would look good with both colors. Keep in mind I will have a c/f hood and possibly c/f deck lid and possibly a black roof.

Re: 91 Prelude SR

Some minor progress. It's starting to take shape, still a little ways to go on the front bumper. The Fujimi 17" TE37s should hopefully be arriving in the next month or so, thanks VERY much to gtidude!

Re: 91 Prelude SR

Well, I know there's not a lot of interest in this build, but this is what I'm thinking of doing for the engine bay. The layout of late 80s to mid 90s Honda engine bays is fairly similar, so with some modification this bay should work decently. I still have to cut off the integra interior, that's why it's sitting kinda funny.

Re: 91 Prelude SR

Sometimes there is not a lot to say, but that doesn't mean there is no interest. I'm following as well.

Could you give Fujimi's reference for this kit? I would really like to get it as well.

Re: 91 Prelude SR

It's back ordered right now, but this is where I got mine frome. http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ03712

rod_k2 I do plan on useing the integra chasis, but haven't started on it yet. The length from wheel well to wheel well is almost perfect, so it's mostly the front and rear of the chasis that will need work. I might end up doing mostly scratch building for the engine bay. Depends on how well the integra bay will really work. Thanks guys!

Re: 91 Prelude SR

I do have a couple photos. This thing's really hard to photograph right now, since it's black my camera doesn't want to focus on it so they all trun out blurry. Haven't done too much else yet. But those wheels you sent me look GREAT on there, they're perfect!

Re: 91 Prelude SR

The deep green looks good on the Civic hatchback. That car was feature on one of Honda Tunning's magazine issue. I thought it was a type of gray until i read it was green and look a real good long look. I like how he combined it with white wheels. Looks stock but with a sporty look. Thats how I like'em.
