Re: Can you Blush?
This sounds like a post a couple of weeks ago. But least this time Blenderwizard isn't being such a jerk. I have always owned a Chevy up until about a month or so ago. And I looked at Chevy's and planned on buying one until I drove one of the Nissan Titans. Now as much as people say how crappy it is too not buy american cars, think about buying american next time you go to wal-mart and buy something. Look at where it is made. most Anything you buy nowadays isn't from America. And whoever was saying that It is not right to not buy american, most Likely you own a lot of stuff in your home that is not american made.
Now personally when I go spend $25,000 to $30,000 on a truck I am going to buy the best truck out there. And lately Chevy hasn't really been stepping up to the plate, so i bought the one that i feel is a better truck. My Titan will blow a Chevy 5.3 truck out of the water(and i know that out of experience), It will tow better than any Chevy I have ever towed with, and It is one of the smoothest riding yet most capable 4x4s around. I believe that now the Jap trucks that are made in America are better trucks than any of the domestic. So I say when looking at a truck and putting your money down for the truck, especially how expensive they are now, I think you should look at all the truck makers around, and decide which one is the best for you and the best investment at the time. And toyota's aren't the best looking but they make a good truck, especially now with the bigger motor. |

Regardless of my opinion, which is well known at this point, it is your money, and you can spend it however you want. My problem is when someone does spend their money how they want, and still insist on coming back in this part of the forum, seemingly just to bash our shit, like yourself. And I'd be happy to test your theory about outrunning a 5.3, if I ever came across you, provided I get my truck back from the bodyshop before i'm 50.

Foreign vehicles are ASSEMBLED in America, but most are assembled from foreign parts. My truck has some parts from Canada, and some from Mexico, but it was assembled right here. However, last I checked, Canada and Mexico were in North America, thereby making them American. Regardless, GM is an American owned company. Nissan, Toyota, etc., are foreign owned, though they do employ many Americans. However, earnings from american companies go to american companies, and profits from foreign companies go to foreign companies. The only reason these foreign companies have set up shop here is to avoid our tariffs. I don't know how the taxes or whatever apply to the foreign (actually Alien is the proper term here) companies, but we should charge the shit out of them, if we're not. Oh, and I got my truck back from the body shop today.

Re: Can you Blush?
Just because Canada and Mexico sit on the same continent does not mean they are part of the US. They ARE separate countries.

Nobody was arguing that. I just find it funny that people argue they're not "American"

Re: Can you Blush?
Actually JDCowboy I have owned two Chevys, my step dad has owned four and we have towed with every one of them. And my Titan will outpull them. Now you are saying stuff about me talking down to Chevy's, least I have driven them so i know how and what they will do. Have you driven one of the Titans? And if not what gives you thr right to call it a POS. And I will still always look at Chevy's when I go to buy a new truck i just found the Titan did what I needed better than the chevys do at the moment. I am not meaning to trash them because they have done me good when I have had one. I was just tlking about what I have fund the Titan to do better And Blenderwizard dont the body shops take forever. I had to take my old chevy into one and it took about a month o get it done. And all they were doing was putting me an SS front bumper and rear Bumper and painting some stuff to match it all.

It's pretty sweet... They had to repaint the front clip, and the paint matches perfectly. They used polishing compound on the rest of the truck to make it match, and it does. They also detailed the interior, and even cleaned my wheels and shined my tires at no additional charge.

Re: Can you Blush?
You should put an updated Picture. Before I wrecked my 2003 regular cab, I had the front clip all painted red to match, I had the bo-tie painted red to match, and the SS bumpers put on it to match and it looked freaking awesome. I want to keep my Titan as a work truck and buy me another regular cab Chevy as a street truck cause I miss that truck. And I like that silver strip you have on the bottom of your truck and tailgate

And what Chevy's did you own a 78 Vega and a 83 Chevette. I am calling your bluff amigo. The Titan never will be a better truck. Even if they were I would not buy one. I am not open minded when it comes to supporting a damn country that blindsided us barely over 50 years ago. My neighbor happens to have one of your POS pickups. So yes I know what they are all about. No I would not even think of buying one for a dozen legit reasons. Try a Duramax on for size if you really want to be into towing.......ooops wheres the Titan's diesel???????? Have a great weekend but dont bitch about how little you make. |

Re: Can you Blush?
well, all I have to say is thank god you picked a titan over the ugliest POS vehicle ever made (Tundra). I love watching those tundra commercials, "we can go 0-60 in six seconds", we can "push" 10,000 lbs (5k for the truck and 5k for the trailer, btw), and in the background you see a bunch of F-150's. I can't wait until all them suckers that bought those trucks have to replace a tranny at 75k and an engine at 100k (sorry that it won't be covered under your warranty, wah wah).
I think the problem that most people have with the new silverados/sierras is that they are no longer plain old work trucks. These are classy-looking trucks that still have the muscle to "go to work". Once the "old-fashioned boys" see some of these new gmt-900's lifted with some big ol' swappers I think they'll change their minds. |

Re: Can you Blush?
Actually JDcowboy I have owned an 2003 Chevy with the 5.3, a 99 Chevy with the 4.8. My step dad has owned a 97, 95, 94, and a 89 all with the 5.7, and I have driven a Ch evy with the 6.0 and an HD with the duramax so I am pretty sure I Know what every motor of Chevy can do. And trust me I make plenty of money. But I dont know where or how that got brought into it. But if I go spend 25000 on a truck, then add the extended warranty, and Then put a lift, tires, and plenty of other aftermarket goodies on it, while still paying for my Fiance's Dodge ram, my two four wheelers and my Harley and my girls Honda crotch rocket and still paying for gas and having plenty of money to put away into savings but i guess that isn't making enough money. But thats cool I understand.
And yes you are right the duramax will out pull it. I have never argued that and am not going to. So you can call my bluff if you want but I have driven every one of Chevy's V-8's and the only one that might be able to keep up with the 5.6 is the 6.0 and of course the 8.1 and 6.6 duramax, not the 5.3 unless it has been modified. And actually I will have a great weekend because I am going to hook up my 20 foot trailer and go with the girl and ride our four-wheelers out at the four-wheeling park, after which I will probably go mudding in my truck. But man that might put me tight on cash maybe I shouldn't do that. But maybe the $6,000 I have in my checking account can cover it but it might be tight. So I guess you ran out of stuff to dog on my truck, so you had to try to take a stab at my personal life about how much money I make and obviously that isn't going to work, so what you going to try next? And you have |
