You probably know that stretch of Highway 5 that I was on pretty well then. It just south of Tracy. I actually used to own an SRT-4. What have you done to it so far?

Some tuners do one or the other better though.

Ehh I dunno about that. Take this case in point. My buddy, Steve (Whom I consider a guru with LS1 powered motors, mainly cause he's taken so many of them apart, and put them back together again), tuned with the speed density tune, which of course deletes the mass airflow sensor. Since doing so he has dropped over 4 tenths of a second in the 1/4 mile alone (He goes to the track often, and has a plethora of bracket racing trophies). He also dynoed 20whp, though i'm sure more on the overall curve.

Right now he has a pussy 224 cam, full bolt ons, LS6 heads, and a 12 bolt rearend. Using his gtech pro competition (Which he compares often with his track times) he ran a 11.8 sec. 1/4 mile at 126mph. That's pretty fast, and he has yet to touch the 175 shot that he has.

Re: So I got tuned for 100 octane...

One guy way of tuning.

Not saying either way is better.
Just seen several threads at Tech saying they are both about equal when done correctly. Several cars running the same either way.

I would probably go SD if I could. But with as often as our conditions change here...I don't want to.

Re: So I got tuned for 100 octane...

LS1Edit is just a tuning software.

Not sure if LS1Edit can do speed density.
Not sure about EFILive either.
HPTuners can do SD or MAF.

Those are the three big tuners for the LSx.
