The reason why you don't want to go with a missing link is because you are just faking your ecu into thinking there isn't any boost. In turn, what's the ecu going to do, it's going to run everything as if there wasn't boost. There are ways around this with a apexi controller and such, but it's no where near as accurate or stable or reliable. With a chipped ecu, the ecu does all the work, no second guessing stuff. The ecu see's boost and adjust fuel and timing according, not trying to adjust stuff in the blind. Think of the missing link as a blindfold for you when you are driving, you can't see what's really going on, the samething happens when you try and bypass stuff on the ecu, in a sense you are blinding your ecu from your motor. I just ordered my ecu chip last week, I should have it here this week if you want to come over and see how it works and how simple it is to tune. I'm finishing ordering the rest of the stuff for my turbo this week and then the car gets put together.
