Re: Progress: Ferrari 575M Maranello

Hi. Me again. Don't look so disappointed . Seriously, The Maranello has been cleared and after a few days of gassing out, I think the metallic flakes are quite fine as opposed to the pictures earlier in the thread and the car will be fine once I go ver it with a polishing kit...

I'll have more progress soon but it's my day off today and I'm headed to the beach to act like I'm in a Corona commercial!

Re: Progress: Ferrari 575M Maranello

Looks great Tonio. I find the metallic looks alot bigger in pictures then in real (kind of the way red looks like crap in digital pics) Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
Oh yeah and enjoy the beach you lucky bastard. Got about 6 inches of snow here and no beach for about a 1000 miles.

Mike.

I like that color too...when you showed the first pic of it painted, and I thought it looked good then, with the clear it looks even better, can't wait to see it finished...

Re: Progress: Ferrari 575M Maranello

Hey. I got the wheels almost finished; I'll treat the extreme outer edges (I'm sick of the term "lip" ) to some Bare Metal Foil to bring some depth to them...

Hello Tonio,
I must say that the color comes much more better out when polished!
Nice, really nice.
I also like the Rims.
Will love to see the car finished!

Re: Progress: Ferrari 575M Maranello

That is really sweet mate, the colour is awesome! How is this kit to build? I just picked up the Fujimi 288 GTO Enthusiast and it has completely changed my opinion of Fujimi based on previous experiences with their kits, is this one worth getting?

did you polish the actual paint coat, or the clear? when i paint metallics they looks almost perfect, but a tiny bit of an orange peel, and it looks the same way when i clear coat and polish. any suggestions?
