Re: VW Golf V5 [Die 56k!! Die!! :p

Thanks for the comments!
Here are some minor updates:
I bmf'ed the headlights: (Don't worry if they look like they have swirls: it's just the reflection!)

Oh,and look what came with the kit! I never saw something like this before on a kit! :

Cool,eh?

Now,a little story. While I was vacuumin (?is it right?) my room,I sucked one side mirror inside the vacuum. DAMN!
Then I tought I had one mirror. So,the thing happened: I lost the other one,I don't know how. So,I had to make new ones.
The Hasegawa Civic mirrors would fit nicely, but they are just too small!
And the Fujimi CTR mirrors are in the right size, but they don't have supports!
As a good little modeller,i tried making them!

The grey mirrors are the Hasegawa Civic ones: As you can see,I sawed a part of the mirror off,and let the support alone: So,we got a support! And the white things are the Fujimi mirrors:

Ater a little bit of work,I had sawed both mirrors, and puttied a part of the CTR mirrors,to make them look a bit better:

And this is the almost finished piece: Still needs some putting, sanding, priming, and painting! But that's just some minor work...

As you can see, some putting and sanding will be required to make the support to fit onto the body! But,what the heck!

Sorry for the blurry pics!

Comments and suggestions appreciated!

EDIT: Oops, sorry, some pics were missing! But everything is uploaded now!

Re: VW Golf V5 [Die 56k!! Die!! :p

those GTR rims look really good on there. they might need to be narrowed a bit to get them under the fender lip. the headlight buckets look great with the BMF.

keep up the great work.

Re: VW Golf V5 [Die 56k!! Die!! :p

Thanks man!! But really,I don't think i'll change the wheels...If I find some wheels that fit it quite nice,i'll keep 'em! But thanks for the suggestion!

Small update: I clear coated the body...

With a bit more of sunlight:

Just a little indoor pic...

I will apply Super Clear later, that is just some regular shine Clear Coat..So i'll see if the super clear makes difference from an regular clear!
I know, there's some good old orange peel, but that will be wetsanded after it's dry!

Comments and criticism appreciated!!
Thanks for viewing!
