For my car, I hae seen cars with red, green,orange window tint,.......you can still se inside, I need to know where I can find out if its illegal in Ny, how much $$$ it will cost me and if I can do it myself,.....if you can help, I'd appreciate it Later,..KyLe

i didnt want to open a new thread cause this kind of goes along with it... how much does it cost to get new weather stripping? i need the stff at the very botom of the window that flakes of really easily if you dont take care f it.

Over here where I live, tinting to whatever degree is legal, plus all windows can be tinted. Cost is quite cheap: only 2,500 pesos (about $40+ only).
On a side note: why put in dark tint at all when you don't live in a tropical country? It's practical where I live, since it gets so hot here during the summer, and it's quite hot even in December. Maybe it might still be practical in Cali and Florida, or other quite warm places. But certainly you won't use dark tint much for most of the year. Eh, only my 2 cents there...

Well I live in NY, which is a northern state, and it can still get very hot here in the summer. Lots of the time it's in the 90s and always really humid, and without AC it gets way hotter than that in my car. So I'm sure the tint helps somewhat.
