It says after painting clear red paint over with silver. Do you still have to do this with metallic clear red. I have Model Masters Stop Light Red Met. and Turn Signal Amber Met.

Again, it depends on the look you're after. Sometimes I'll back it with silver, sometimes not. For molded in lenses, I'll lay down some chrome foil before painting - might work well inside a clear lense painted with clear red too - never tried that one.
