Olde New England Basement

Well, I just recently set this space up (building my first model since around 15 years ago!) down in my dingy old basement (rental.) So it is pretty low-tech (except for the laptop and wireless LAN for instant access to AF modeling forum while working - and Internet radio!)

Who can find the HPI RS4 Mercedes CLK-GTR way hidden in the above pic?

Overhead shot of work area (not very organized, but it works for me)

Heh...in keeping with the Ferrari theme...this trunk is right next to my work area:

I wonder why I keep getting thirsty when I am working on a model??

Matt

wow

Wish I had all that space. I rent a room so I don't have all the space that I would like to have. My modelling/writing/study/computer/general purpose table is about 3 feet wide and 1.5 feet deep.

Half of it is occupied up by a computer monitor, and the other half is supposed to be a work area. That's where I do my stuff.

No pics, but once I get a digicam I'll post some of my pathetic workspace.

Thanks it's actually a finished attic so I had to run the AC all summer but overall it's been the best workshop I have had. Very comfprtable and my computer is there also. I practically live there.

I don't know why, but I sense this need to take a trip to a town called Camp Hill......935k3

I just got a little corner of the lounge in the apartment, I got a window for light in the day though, and enough lights for the Titanic at night....and I tossed my 'spray booth' when my Dad came to visit 3 weeks ago, so I have to make a new one.....
It's comfortable and works for me, and it is also the best I ever had anyhow....strangely enough.

Has anyone updated their workspace since this thread? I am getting back into slot cars and model cars and am starting to draw plans for a corner in the basement. Always like to see what other people do to creat magic with little workspace.

OMG 935K3! That is an awesome workshop you have setup there Must be a joy to work in an area that is so well designed, with everything at your fingertips. No wonder you turn out so many kits!

Did you build that spray booth youself?

My workspace is out in the garage, will post some pictures later.
