I know what you mean. I hate it when they make their car look so badass... but they pop the hood to reveal either solid wire covers 'to make it look cool' and no modification at all or put the giant muffler in there that coud only be plugged with a basket ball to make it sound intimidating. Now I've got nothing against ripping out that little grape-shooter piece of flaming shit they call a stock muffler and putting on a better one, but I much prefer a silencer because I know a lot of people that leave theirs out only have the damn thing so the car sounds kewl. If you want your car to sound cool, at least have the intelligence to add a few ponies while your at it: buy an intake and don't tighten the screws. Shoot dawg, just buy an intake.

But I've got a suggestion:
Take that fart can on the back of your daddys '88 Accord sedan and shove it

hm... interesting. Theres nothing wrong with them. Just somethings wrong with some people who fix them up. I personally like mine it drives and it's fun. Thats the important part if it's fun. Feeling the Vtec don't know about that...... keep in mind it's not a rocket booster..... it just switches over to a different lobe and helps a little bit. It's not like some super duper crazy thing that will make your engine fly...

everyone that posted owns a honda and most of them put the stupid shit things that piss people of about the car. fast looks w/o the performance, the stupid oversized exhaust and spoilers, nos, and these idiots like to pull up to everyone and race its kinda stupid to pull up to a monte carlo with a car seat and expect a race. yet when i drive my silverado with a 454 where are the ricers? my friend has one of those si's and it is fun to drive. i would trade my monte c in for one, but it is just a grocery getter thats the bottom line. grocery getter yes racer no.

Oh boy here they come. Whether people are open to the fact that there are ricers with any car. Whether it be an import or domestic, Honda or Nissan, Ford or Chevy. I've seen ricers on every different make, manufacturer and even motorcycles.

Any car can be a show car, any car can be a race car. Ask anyone at an autocross. I've seen 1990 Yugos racing (and winning by the way), Fiat X1/9s, and Honda Civics. For those who think Civics are only grocery getters, you must live in a hole and come out once a year.

I've seen it all on Monte Carlos too, big guy and trust me, it looks a hell of a lot worse on them than it does a Civic. OK, how about if I said Monte Carlos suck. and tons of people that mod them make them look stupid.

Why does EVERYBODY have to go saying shit about everything else that they don't necessarily prefer. Some people can't afford an incredible 1000 RHP top-of-the-line good-as-it-gets supercar Monte Carlo like you. Deal with it. If they want to soup a 1990 Ford Escort, an '89 Supra, a 1992 Ford Probe or a 1996 Honda Civic, what makes you the dictator of what they should be doing with it? If it makes them happy, don't try to take that away. They spend thousands on creating their car to exactly what they want and their so happy with it and they love the way it turns out and some asshole like you comes along and says it sucks, because it's not the type of car you'd soup if given the chance. I've seen it so many times. If it's not your thing, chances are it's probably somebody elses.

And like saki0 said, most are still works in progress.
I've got a whole other engine waiting to be put in, as well as a GReddy turbo w\ intercooler, Venom intake manifold, GReddy exhaust system, AEM adjustable cams, a brake kit, new fuel injectors and an AEM fuel rail. All of which will be under the hood by spring break. I'm not waiting for (or getting\got) a body kit, fender flares, rear views, carbon fiber hood, Z3 fenders, etc... But hey what do I know, I'm just a stupid ricer who just happens to be studying engines to get certified... so me and my ricer self know nothing about motors or anything. I've only done a few engine swaps, personally. I guess I'll just go pick up some groceries.
Not everybody's a ricer and those that are, you can just smile knowing for a fact that you are so much better than them, but don't try to burst their bubble. They're like the little brother pulling on your jacket saying "can I pway too?!" and you walk them to a corner and tell them to be the lookout so they're out of your way. Just let them do their little thing and claim they're building a "show car", let them create a stereotype for us. Stereotypes typically mean underestimating. That can give you an advantage.
