Re: bye bye eclipse..

Yeah what is your budget, Id consider getting one of these if you can find them http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-...QQcmdZViewItem

they come witha 2.2 inline 5 turbo out the factory, even a external wastegate stock, and awd, their awd system is strong too and they can be made hella fast and youd still be luxurious to an extent.

Or an early model 3000gt vr4, but that would be a pita to work on really.

and older (1990-1996) 300zx, I doubt it would be hard to work on since everything is almost symmetrical in the engine bay.

An old 944 turbo would be a great thing to work on http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1986-...QQcmdZViewItem

as well as a mitsubishi starion/chrystler conquest
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/88-Bl...QQcmdZViewItem
rwd, 2.6litre 4 banger, 16g turbo out the factory, hell, all you need is turbo up the boost and tune it.

Re: bye bye eclipse..

If I had to do it over again I would get a 90-92(6 bolt) dsm for cheap and build a freakin power monster out of it. If your budget is a little tight then sadly but surely I would suggest getting a honda hatch gutting it to crap, swapping in a nice motor and throwing a turbo on it. You would be suprised at how cheap it is to build a decent honda nowadays.

BTW I would never buy an Audi to build. Maybe for a DD but, never to mod.

Re: bye bye eclipse..

33.3% is far too high of a percentage. Plus those chances are greatly increased by higher poundage clutches. 2gb's are hella sexy but damn, I am way too cheap to shell out for a 6 bolt swap and all that. 1ga FTMFW .

Thats why you just buy a 2g shell that has walked and drop a spare 6 bolt in it.
