that is true, u could do a lot with the money saved, but i'd rather have the sti, i think overall it's better, no offense to anyone, i own an older neon, it just doesnt perform for me the way i would want.

tru the evo is a better car than the sti, but isnt the evo more money new, so chances r it will b wen used. and the ev has a bit less power, only 10, cause believe it or not the sti only makes 293hp, not the 300 they advertise, no its not false advertising, they just never tested it for the new hp rating

not me what the Evo MAY (I STRESS THE WORD MAY) lack in power compared to the Sti...it makes up for with looks....if i had an EVO i would cum everytime i got in it

well i wouldnt go as far as cuming in it everytime...but it was compared to a lambo along with the sti, the evo did better than the sti, and the only reason they both lost, was because they're both bricks(in terms of shape) and the lambo had the advantage on the straits. they r equally powerful cars, and handle very well, but the evo, looks better in my opinion. especially in that slate black. that and the evo doesnt loose as much power to the ground, the sti get 227 to the ground, the evo gets like 240 to the ground.
i also think that we have gone way out of wat the original person wanted to know. tho apples to oranges, go with wat ur money can get u

I'd say the reputation the STI has is greater then that of the EVO. I'm not knocking the EVO dame I wish I can have either lol but the STI IMO is an all around better vehicle.

the question of the evo being better than the STI is funny. the evo makes more power, is easy to tune, cheaper to mod, handles better, looks better (only matter in this list that will depend on the person owning the car), has a better lineage, more proven engine, easier to work on, just as fast (faster actually, the IX is faster than the STI in 0-60 and 1/4)...want me to keep going? dont get me wrong, i like the suby, but when it comes to which is better, teh evo edges the subaru out in every category but one...and that one is aestetics, which is reletive

id take an evo just for price, neither car would be a daily driver. But theres a dealership by me that sells new evos of last year models for around 24,000.

I'm not a big fan of the current evo's or past...But the New evo styling if it goes into production dame sign me up....

just an question, how can it be a new car, if its from the last model yr. i get the idea, but u shouldve worded it differently.
eh the x is ok, still change the front a lil, the disign is good tho. is there any news on if they bumped up power or nething like that. to make a drastic body change like that, they had to have done something under the hood

It looks like an acura tl with a front mount and big wing. Cars are just turning plain ugly. There is no style to them. It looks like it's ment for a 50 year old mid life crisis rich person.

yea cars are loosing there appeal, but some keep them.
if u wanna see how much cars are starting to look like each other, take a look at the saleen s7, the aero 8tt, and mosler mt900s, they all have the same look, it horrible. even the new viper lights and vette lights look the same

I agree, I've owned an '03 SRT-4, almost as good as '04-'05 SRT's minus the LSD, it was a great car for $16k with 12k mi. I now own an '06 Mazdaspeed6, I know it's nowhere comparable to an STi or Evo, but the AWD does make a big difference; however, that is only my prefered drivedrain. Like mentioned before, if you want great handling and suspension, get an AWD car, i.e. Sti, Evo, Speed6, or even the WRX, minus the STi.
If you want great straight line speed from a roll for less cash, get the SRT-4 or Speed3. If you want a drifter, get a good RWD car i.e RX-7, 300ZX or 240SX. But like mentioned before, do some research, google searches are very helpful.
