what kind of B16 tranny do you have...because I have a B16 tranny, Y1 non LSD and rev is at 4.5K at 85 mph...it sounds like your driving on 4 gears...:flash:

If you have a Y1 tranny someone must have switched the gears on it because you shouldnt be at redline and only doing 110 mph...

An LS tranny should be geared even taller....meaning same speed, lower RPM..., so if there is enough HP to push the car, you should go even faster. Although those type of trannies are not desireable for acceleration because they are not geared low enough to keep the engine revs up in the power band when you step on the gas.

man im geting pretty pissed off bout this i think they did something to cut back the power of the b-20. and the guy that did it would do something like that. i raced a 91 hatch si and i bearly beat him with his zc engine. i know its not my driving cause i can drive pretty good. a lot of people said a b-20 would kill a zc engine so i dont know why i didn't. im gonna hit him up though.

there is no way your b20 would top out at 110 mph cause you would need a b series tranny and i have a b16a, jdm of course, and i hit 145 and my car was still pulling and there arent any trannies with shorter gears for a cable tranny. so i think you probably got sold a zc with a dx tranny. you should check the ecu first to make sure. i still dont know what ecu cuts out at 110 mph. sorry dude put you got jackd on the swap in some way.

The cops have a new way to stop speed offenders and that was it!-sike
U hit ur rev limiter! get a new/change ur ECU...Canadian ECU's do not have a rev limiter or fuel cut-off unlike USA's version...very popular for swaps.-learn somthin new everyday.

lmao......no i did not get jacked, its not a zc with a dx tranny. i know what zc & b-20 engines look like and the tag confirms its a b20b. i have a b-16 tranny, gears are pretty short. i just dont know what he did. my check engine light is on. its been on since day one. i talked to him today and he told me hes holding back some of the power untill im ready to go with the b-16 head. i have a b-16 computer, b-16 wiring, b-16 tranny, w/b16 distrubeter, and i guess he didnt want me to push it too much untill i put my vtec head on there cause of something with the air mixture or some shit like that. so that probley explains it.

Let me know what trans and ecu you are using and how much power you are making to go 145 mph in your crx. JDM ecus have speed limiters. They are set to 115 mph usually. So he is saying at 110 it cuts out so maybe he has a jdm ecu and his tach is off a bit. Redline do me a favor and get the serial code off the ecu and post it...also waht does the sticker on your trans say? Check the error code on the ecu. I think is probably the root of your problem. The ecu is probably in limp mode and causing the car not to run correctly. Why would your mechanic limit the car until you get the b20-Vtec work done. Sounds kind of fishy to me.
