...a little something my little bro and I put together for him to race. Totally stock B20 motor with a totaly stock (even cams) GSR head. 12.8 on its first-ever run,All Motor.
.
12.8? Was he on slicks or what?I'm sorry but I kinda find that hard to believe, especially everything is "stock".

Disbelieve all you want. If you're ever in NJ,bring along a new CRV headgasket and I'll pull the head off for you to inspect the OEM low-dish pistons and the stock combustion chambers. The shortblock and head are as they came from Honda, all I did was bolt them together.

Yes it's on slicks,22x8x15 MTs on Z-Speed wheels. I didn't say the rest of the car was stock did I,I'd be a liar if I claimed to. We have the usual bolt-on shit like an intake, header, exhaust. Oh my god,we're also using an aftermarket clutch...the OEM flexplate and torque converter that came with the B20 motor wouldn't work too well on a manual tranny Oh,we also have suspension shit like shocks and coilovers, what a surprise.

I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but I was doing performance shit before you were old enough to legally drive, and I'm not talking clear corners and an exhaust tip. I too would be sceptical if I were you, there's a lot of people claiming all sorts of bullshit but in the end that's what it was,BS. Hopefully my answers to your questions were good enough.

PS,see the white car we're lined up against? He's one one of those BS'rs,I'm fixing a 2000 Integra GSR that blew a motor thanks to the hack-job install he did on the turbo kit.

Ok i just wanted to know u don't have to get all offended man. I just don't want ppl on this board or anywhere to get all piss happy cause they're hearing a b20 stock running 12's. You had a big help cause of the boots. I'm pretty sure i can hit low 13's or high 12's on slicks also but it aint shit when i'm on the streets. I'm starting to build my motor over the winter and shit man i aint that lil(21 yrs old). Working on clear corners and exhaust tips? Tell it to someone that has them cause i don't see them on my car? Well anyways more power to you.

I'm guessing it's running a lot of stuff stripped out too.

B16A4ME is running a 3rd gen Civic with a stock B16A except for I/H/E and can only get 14.00 at 100mph - and that's lightened to about 700 kilos total not including the driver.

Not on slicks I don't think, but still, two seconds is a hell of a lot of difference between the two.

Before you go biting my head off - I've been around the block once or twice with building performance cars - one V8, a couple of turbocharged cars and too many Hondas

I'm sceptical of everything, especially with a lot of the BS claims I hear. Not saying you aren't right, but until I see slips etc or other proof, I tend to take it with a pinch of salt.

I've been known to be wrong once or twice I'm happy to say

Heh,I've been wrong too,and admit it when it happens.

Proof?
June 8,Toyo Tires Import Survivor Series in Englishtown,NJ: #1 qualifier and eventually winner for H (hybrid all motor) Class. Also had three other cars running different classes,we took home over $1000 in winnings. Unfortunately Raceway Park doesn't have the results archived in their site. Here's a photo of the four winning cars http://www.urbanracer.com/features/iss3_2002/0092.jpg
July 6-7,BFG/IDRC Summer Slam in Englishtown,NJ http://www.urbanracer.com/features/idrc_ss_results.html Car #820
August 24-25 IDRC Tri-State Nationals in Atco,NJ: http://www.urbanracer.com/features/i...2_results.html Car #339. We (Alpha Racing) had half of the 8-car field in All Motor class,my friend's Corrado being the eventual winner.
You can read the IDRC results in their site if you don't believe the urbanracer.com reports http://importdrag.com/raceresults.shtml but they're in spreadsheet format.
What else do you want,a scan of the 12.8 run? If those things I posted weren't enough more proof I give up.
