well why even bother racing a LS1 then..... then has the nerves too make an excuse.....like I said he should have gotten more stickers it would have done better against his TA.....

Re: 98 ls1 vs 99 mustang gt and 05 srt-4

I feel bad for owners of those 00 mustang gt's with auto trannies, because they just get the whole "GT" thing robbed from them with that tranny. It's almost like night and day with that year of mustang. My GSR has beaten 2 of those autos, and that's just not right. Congrats on your kill, LS motors were built by God (kinda)

Well that's true though. I'm not sure why either parties wasted there time. I myself am one of those people who won't race if I know I'm going to win or loose because there is no purpose so makes sense.

Re: 98 ls1 vs 99 mustang gt and 05 srt-4

I raced a modded ls1 camaro from a 60mph roll and by 145 I pulled a few busses and I was running 16psi. By the way E-blue is an 04 color 05's colors are stone white and orange blast.

Re: 98 ls1 vs 99 mustang gt and 05 srt-4

I like racing people that are faster than me.....and if I lose there is no excuses....just respect.....I take the lost as encouragement to make my car that much faster.....and for the record I have raced many stock and modded LS1s and from that I also have wins and loses.....

Man I have forgotten what a stock LS1 F-Body does.

Anyone up for a race with me??
Requirements....
Stock LS1 F-Body. That is all.
And I get to drive it once.

Re: 98 ls1 vs 99 mustang gt and 05 srt-4

DAMN. i got my car back from the shop with the converter installed and it doesn't even feel like the same car..no matter what gear i'm in or what speed i'm going, WOT seems to instantly put me at the top of my powerband. I was gonna re-race the srt-4 just to see how much faster it made it but i've decided not to even waste my gas. it might be an '04 srt4 but I thought he said it was an '05. i'll post some vids up when I get the chance, but yeah a high stall MOS DEF wakes up an auto tranny

i'm on street tires right now, yokohamas. i definately need to get some DR's soon because with t/c off i can't hook from anything less than 45 . if I go to the 1/4 track with these i'll probly leave an 1/8 mile of rubber behind me

Re: 98 ls1 vs 99 mustang gt and 05 srt-4

i'm not sure what type of tires vette's come with stock, i would have thought trans ams and maro's had about the same type of tire. but vette's hook so well, yet trans ams seem to have problems. racing with t/c on sucks, i know how you feel having to use it for the time bieng. but your still kickin ass so thats all that matters
