Fuck it man, if you don't have to pay it - DON'T! Don't keep following it up either, it's their money - let them come and collect it if they want it. What are you thinking?
I've had a couple of "tickets" that never showed up with reminder notices I haven't had to pay.

Thats exactly how I'm thinking Oz, but I don't want to get a pleasant suprise when I try to apply for a loan or something and then I get told I have a warrant. I'm just gonna let it slide for now, if I do get a warrant they're supposed to send me a letter or whatever (which I think is funny), but for now its just like, out of sight out of mind.

If you're going to try to let it be swept under the rug, then I'd suggest you get it in writing from the court that your ticket is paid. Tell them you don't have the receipt for payment and that you would like one.
