I'd love to carve up an NSX-R kit to make the NSX-R II

I'm really scared to see the next NSX. Honda has always been conservative in their designs, now their road cars are looking down right mundane. The new Accord looks like a Saturn, the kind you would see from Uranus. The front end they put on the NSX to buy time til the new car is concocted, looks hidious in pictures IMHO, and only a little better in person. The RSX is so Cavalier and the Civic Si is only missing the h and the t in part of it's name.

Yes, they have been conservative except for the 1984 Civic lineup. And that formula has worked wonders for them.

The new Accord is more distinctive than the last, but it's still a sedan meant to be sold to the masses, who won't go w/something goofy or scary. You obviously haven't looked that closely at the Accord, I drove behind one for a few miles, it's a lot better design than the Saturn. Especially the UPDATED Saturn, which is downright fugly. The front of the Accord did look like the love child of an Altima and a Sebring convertible.

They'll sell every one they can make.

The new-look NSX is horrid. That front end looks fugly in person too. I certainly hope the new generation NSX isn't either fugly or conservative. The original NSX was rather conservative, but it's lines have aged rather gracefully, until Honda put the guppy face on it. The performance buy of a lifetime would be a used NSX. And that sound...oooh. Pure F1.

The RSX looks fine now that the Cavalier has been seriously disfigured for 2003!

What can I say? When they previewed the NSX facelift, I hated it. When I saw pics on the net and in magazines, I was skeptical. When I saw it in person at a car show, I was impressed (against my will). When I saw one in motion (albeit on video ), I fell in love all over again. :buck

After all, it's still an NSX...
