your probably thinking of 1995 when they had the option of getting the 302 or the 4.6. the 302 was rated at 225hp, but the 4.6 was rated at 215hp...

but yeah 315ft-lbs from a v6 isnt bad, the 3.8 is a good engine. very torquey down low... do a few mods to that sucker and youd have a beast.

M3's are becoming like Supras, they NEVAR LOSE unless they are not running right that day. Heck it's written in the owner's manual
Still not as bad as the LSx cars. Hell, anytime anyone beats a Maro, T/A, GTO, or 'Vette, they need at least ten witnesses, a video and audio recording, a signed and notorized statement of victory, and provide proof that they aren't a famous race car driver.

In 95 there was an option of a 5.0 or 4.6? I never heard that. I was pretty convinced that 95 was the last year of the 5.0 in the mustang. My mustang book dosn't reference the 4.6 until 96 in any of the spec sheets.

i thought there was, i have a book that talks about it, or so i thought. but the book is at my grandmas house in new york which is 500 miles away. it may not have been an option though, i just looked on msn autos and they didnt have tne 4.6 listed as an available engine.

about it being listed as 215 with the 5.0, i think i remember something about ford decreasing the rating slightly in one year because of new emmissions or something.

I think you are right on the emissions thing. The option thing I don't think is right though. Do you have the thick hard cover mustang book thats about as thick as a phone book? If so I think I have the same one.

That's why I sold my Z28, got tired of filing reports each time I raced it...

LOL, that's cause the majority of LS1 owners are a%^holes. I think that's why Luos took the LS1 motor out of his WS6, he didn't wanna be labeled with them

Oh, and my bad yet again, it is called the BMW 335. I still don't get why they call it that, as I always thought the last digits were for the engine liter size wise.

I'm trying to sell both my T-Birds, and get into a GM 3.8 SC car (The Buick Regal GS) I dunno about the whole FWD thing tho.. And I've heard of some issues with the transmission and window regulators, but as one person said "Anything that goes wrong in the GS will be easy as pie compared to the T-bird" But, theres something that intrigues me with the GS... 240 HP, 15 flat stock..

Actually those cars will run faster then a 15 sec. flat 1/4 mile. There soo easy to mod it isn't even funny. The Regal GS is overlooked, as most people want the styling of the Grand Prix GTP.

Honestly though, I don't see you getting alot of money for your thunderbirds. For some reason they have bad resale value. Then again a Regal is dirt cheap to buy used too
