I might be buying a 2001 Black WS6 Trans Am...need advice

good deal??? dude, you shouldnt pay no more than 13.5k - 14k to that car!!! offer to dealer 13.5k - 14k if they say no and say them good bye.. there are ton of trans ams out there and it is winter.. right now dealers are thinking SO HARD, how to get rid of these sports cars.. because they know if they can't sell them, they are gonna have to pay some kind of fee every month to keep the car in the dealer! keep looking..

After researching prices for about 15 minutes...I disagree.

You can keep searching, but it might be a while before finding something priced like that. I honestly had no idea.
1999 WS.6's are going for $19-21K with 31-32K miles on them. Unreal. That is what I bought mine for in 2002 when it had 9949 miles.
I paid $21,300 for mine in 2002.

yeah... those LS1 cars are freakin HARD to find now i guess.. well, the unabused/modded ones..

however, if you choose a LT1 instead, or can live with/like it, it gets almost 8K+ cheaper!

I bought a black license plate cover from a salvage yard for $20, and a couple of cans of domestic red spray paint from Autozone and it matches perfectly.

I had a friend match it with GM paint. Not the rattle can, the same stuff they paint the cars with.
My friend has a paintbooth in his garage and does really well with painting vehicles.
Might be surprised how much better good paint looks. I thought the gloss black looked good on mine until I saw a perfect match on it.

they are going high but you can talk them down..a dealer was selling a 2001 black 6 speed trans am with 40k miles on for $18.000 in the middle of summer (june) and i talked dealer down to 14k. then some other good deal popped up and i didnt get that!

also did anyone see, that i posted a thread to ls1.com and ls1tech.com to trade my stang into a ws6

i told her we can make some money and i will still be happy..

i definetely love my stang GT, no doubt.. not slow cars like people say over the internet.. kickass from a dig races.. but everytime i see a ws6 i just can't get my eyes away from it.. i know interior sucks on f-bodies and rocks on 05+ stangs but i have wanted a LS1 ws6 for aboout a year.. and i wanna own one so bad.. now we are just thinking about it..

24.500 bucks?? BS!! that things is not worth near 24k.. 50k miles.. i would give him 14-15k at the most! if i would be on the market for an LS1 right now, i am pretty sure i could get lower mileage and for around 13-14k WS6 with 6-speed.
